Here, power doesn’t refer to physical strength but to positional authority. For instance, a president holds immense power, capable of influencing and controlling an entire nation. But does that mean presidents are truly free and not themselves influenced or overpowered? Similarly, a normal citizen may not possess the same level of authority, but they hold the democratic power to elect or change their leaders.
This raises an important question: where does power truly come from, and does holding a higher position mean being free? The reality is that no one is entirely free from societal constraints. Instead, we exist in a web of interdependence, where power often flows through knowledge, skills, and influence. With the right understanding and capabilities, anyone can shape the world around them to some extent, effectively becoming more powerful than the average person.
The key lies in recognizing that while complete freedom may be unattainable, you can still rise above the norm. By mastering certain skills and gaining knowledge, you can influence others and navigate societal structures to your advantage.
A fitting title for this discussion might be: “How to Be More Free and Powerful Than the Average Human.” Let’s explore this concept further and uncover ways to transcend limitations while still understanding the nuances of power and freedom.
“True power lies not in ruling others, but in mastering yourself and breaking free from the chains of limitation.”

DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?
To harness your potential and understand the field where you can influence and lead others, the first step is to ask yourself, “Who am I?” You need to recognize your strengths and capabilities, a process that demands patience and time. Self-discovery requires deep observation. Pay attention to yourself, reflect on your actions, and identify the unique abilities or passions that have consistently brought you joy throughout your life. By doing so, you’ll uncover the areas where you naturally excel and can channel your power effectively.
DETACHMENT
Detach yourself from material desires, and you can free yourself from the struggles that weigh you down. However, this path is far from easy. I, too, am striving to break free from the matrix of the material world, but the journey is incredibly challenging. Yet, I refuse to give up. The truth is, once you embrace this single principle of detachment, you won’t need any other strategies to experience true freedom.
“One who performs their duty without attachment, surrendering the results to the Supreme, is unaffected by sin, just as a lotus leaf is untouched by water.”
— Bhagavad Gita 5.10
This verse emphasizes that true freedom comes from detachment, performing actions with dedication while remaining uninfluenced by the desire for outcomes.
Power should not define your identity. Learn to let go of what’s beyond your control.
CONCLUSION
To conclude, I believe that complete freedom may never be attainable on this planet, but we can free ourselves from certain things. Many think that having money brings freedom, but in reality, it can become a source of fear and attachment. The more obsessed we are with wealth or any material pursuit, the more we become trapped by the fear of losing it, which undermines true freedom. The key is to first know yourself, understand who you truly are and recognize your unique abilities. By doing so, you will experience a freedom that surpasses the limitations others may face.
